A while ago I posted that I was getting back to my crafty roots and oh boy am I! In the past month I have created Memory Shadow Boxes, a DIY Melted Crayon Canvas and another canvas with a nifty Chevron design. I have so many more projects coming up so definitely watch this space! In the meantime I thought I would do a craft supplies haul 🙂 My hoard has surely expanded with all the things I’ve been making and I am happy to share with you all of the tools that I’ve used to create this smorgasbord of crafty goodness.
First up we have some paper crafting supplies! I bought this nifty circuit trimmer from Amazon along with a Silverline Rotary Cutter with interchangeable blades. Really the rotary cutter is more for fabric but it is fab for cutting through cardstock too. I didn’t have a specific craft in mind when I bought the circuit trimmer but it was such a good deal and I know I will be using it like a champ come Christmas time.
I have finally tentatively stepped into the world of sewing and if ever there was a craft that demanded supplies, this is it. My man friend bought me this faboosh Sy Sewing Machine from Ikea as an early birthday present – lucky me!! It’s a wonderful tool for beginners and I promise that if I can use it with ease, then you can too! I also bought up some cushion and pillow pads from Ikea which I am planning on using to make some simple throw pillows with this fabric from Hobby Craft. Honestly, how adorbz are these fat quarters? (See, I’m already learning the lingo) I love a pastel stripe 😀
Also under the fabric banner comes this oil table cloth (also from Amazon) which I bought for an upcoming DIY. I won’t say too much but this one satisfies my craft, DIY, organisational and beauty needs…. Quadruple threat!
Other bits and pieces I’ve picked up include these super strong magnets, an A2 self-healing cutting matt, some PVA glue and a magnetic whiteboard which will be transformed from this morose ugly duckling, into a beautiful swan very soon! Finally, my favourite of all these crafty supplies has to be my new hot glue gun!! This has honestly been a godsend and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re crafty and without a glue gun then go and get one right away! There’s no time to waste!
