I hate how birthday’s change as you grow up. I haven’t taken this transition well and at 23 I still demand to be treated like a princess on my one special day. I know it’s ridiculous but I’m sometimes a ridiculous person. When I found out that Ian would be working late on my actual birthday I may have thrown an almighty hissy fit (it wasn’t pretty). The poor guy didn’t know what hit him, but he had a plan! The weekend before (as in the weekend just passed) he promised that he would take me out for a lovely birthday dinner and we would celebrate early. With those little words an entire tantrum and possible separation were avoided. Hurrah!
So I bought a new outfit and patiently waited for my presents dinner 🙂 It was a beautiful day, so as a spur of the moment extra treat we decided to spend the day at Blair Drummond Safari Park (yay!)
I absolutely died when I saw this little Marmoset just roaming free, minding his own business! Totes adorbzzzzz! There was also a tiny baby Meerkat which I may have shed a few tears over.
When we got home I had just enough time to get my glam on and we caught the train into Glasgow where Ian had booked a table at Grill on the Corner. Now, I am a steak lover. He couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant! We had some foie gras to start then shared the Chateaubriand with a lush bottle of red. I had the best gin cooler on the side and a great night was had by all!
