Handy Tip 102: Expanding Folder

Welcome to another instalment of my handy tips! I posted my first one last week about using a lint roller to pick up pieces of thread. I have a whole bunch of other tips and tricks up my sleeve so I thought that I might make this a bit of a regular thing. This week I have a handy tip for storing pieces of fabric!

Yes, that’s right it’s an expanding folder! I purchased this particular one from Morrisons for a mere Ā£2 and it’s perfect for keeping my fabric separate but in one place. This is especially good for going to my sewing class as I can easily access things in a flash and Iā€™m not left with a bundle of fabric to sort through and leave lying about.

If that picture doesn’t fill you with organisational joy the you must be dead inside.

  1. I did laugh out loud at your comment about organizational joy…that’s exactly what I feel when I come with or see tips like this, but had never put it in those terms before. Lots of people don’t feel that way, I’ve come to find out. Love all your hints, too!

  2. That is a great idea, especially for small scraps. Love it!

And I use a lint roller to pick up thread scraps too–they’re amazing šŸ™‚
