Christmas Gifts 2013!

It’s no secret that I love reading about what people receive for Birthday’s and Christmases so I thought I would share with you my own spoils! Before we go any further I just want to say that I know I am one lucky girl and my family really do spoil me rotten!

First and foremost, in the Gold family handbook of gift-giving you usually get one big present and then an assortment of smaller, but no less special, presents. This year my big present was a new camera! It’s not just any camera, though. It’s a Canon EOS 600D DSLR camera with a lens kit *squeals in excitement*

I’ve had my eye on this bad boy for a while now and you might have seen that it popped up in my Christmas Wishlist. It came with an epic camera bag which has enough space, nooks and crannies to keep all of the camera related stuff I’ve accumulated! I took it out for a spin the other day and came to one conclusion… The monochrome setting can hide a multitude of sins! Here’s to learning how to use the camera to the best of my abilities in 2014!

The above picture is everything that my beloved gifted to me and I couldn’t have been more impressed! Usually I pick all of my gifts out or at least hand him the link to an Amazon wishlist but this year he was on his own! Didn’t he do well! Jo Malone perfume, Cranium, kitchen scales (I actually wanted these), a Ted Baker purse and a weekend spa break! Told ya I’m a lucky girl!

Another one of my Christmas treasures was this collection of Cath Kidston instruction books, aptly named Cath’s Craft Books! It also comes with fabric and instructions on how to make a bag which I can’t wait to start! My family know me well and 2 people actually bought me the same gift!

The final thing I’ll briefly share with you is this Estee Lauder make-up gift set which I am obsessed with! I’ve honestly used it every day since Christmas and it’s so good that I’ll be doing a full review (with fancy pictures) before the month is out! For now you can oooh and aahh at this cheeky sneak peak.

I would love to know what you got for Christmas so send me a link on Twitter (@BoldlyGold) or post it in the comments below 🙂

  1. Ooh, it all looks great! One tip though with the camera – don’t use the monochrome setting! Shooting in colour and then converting it to BW in post will give you a better image :3 The range of tones just isn’t the same when you shoot in BW!
