Happy Wednesday folks! I’m up to my eyeballs in stuff right now so the post I planned to have up today has taken a back seat while I desperately try to finish it tonight. I have a tendency to jump between things when I feel I’m getting bored but at this point nothing is finished so I need to have a stern word with myself – nothing new until I’ve cleared some of the backlog! That’s a job for next week though as I’m off to London this weekend for some sight-seeing and good food with Mr M 🙂 To keep things ticking over in the mean time, here’s my crafty round-up for October with some of the best crafts I’ve found on the internet this month!
Number 1 on this list are these adorable animal pompoms! They can be found in their natural habitat on the Mr Printables blog and I have all sorts of ideas to recreate them all over my house. Who doesn’t need a menagerie of pompom animals hanging about in their kitchen?
Sticking with the pompom theme this rug made entirely out of, you guessed it, POMPOMS takes the number 2 spot. I actually started a similar project to this about a bajillion months ago and this colourful number has inspired me to crack on with it. I can’t imagine anything more satisfying than standing on a bed of pompoms, can you?
Next up, we take a seasonal detour with this excellent idea for Halloween gift bags. I love the simplicity and impact of this and if I hadn’t already spent more hours than I care to share packing my own plain Halloween goody bags, then I would be doing this FO’SHO.
A crafty round-up wouldn’t be compete without a cupcake so here’s October’s offering – GLOW IN THE DARK ICING. If there was ever a sentence that I would gleefully shout from rooftops, this would be it. Apparently combining tonic water & food colouring with regular butter cream gives you this trippy effect. I like to imagine that it would make my insides glow too 🙂
Finally, something a bit more practical from the wonderful Oh Fransson – a sewing organiser complete with scrap bucket. Considering I woke up this morning with both scraps and thread trapped in my hair, I think I need to make this immediately!
I really like this monthly round-up and I think I’ll keep it going! Be sure to check back at the end of November for the next instalment! Happy Crating 🙂
